Biography

Maud Davis is a PR trainer specialising in marketing communications and media relations and an associate lecturer on the BA (Hons) Public Relations. She is a CIPR Fellow mentor and holds training qualifications from the CIPD and ILM.

Maud runs practical workshops with PR agencies and in-house communications teams covering topics such as PR writing skills, press release writing, media relations, PR planning, creativity and account management.  She also leads the CIPR Professional Certificate and Foundation qualification courses with PR Academy and works with JGA Group helping young people gain the PR and Communications Apprenticeship Standard.

Her training achievements include presenting on the UK’s very first MOOC on Introduction to PR for PR Academy and helping to embed the CIPR Professional Certificate course in Bahrain. And her training experience covers both in-house (working with UK Sport, Kingfisher Group, WWF, Shelter, Lidl, NHS as well as consultancy), working with Fleishman Hillard, Pinstone, Hard Numbers and Say Communications, amongst others.

Maud’s started her PR career with Good Housekeeping magazine before working for creative consultancies Richmond Towers, Nexus, Hill and Knowlton and Ceres PR in the food and wellbeing sectors.
